Cannot use this app :(

I was pretty excited to learn about this app at an unconference. I went straight home to download it and print the paper blocks. I even recommended the app to science teachers at the middle school.
I am sad to report that the app will not run on my iPad 2- it begins to load, and then quits. I thought it was a device issue, so I downloaded the app on the iPhone 5s, and had the same sad result.
I look forward to the app working so I can change the number of stars in my rating.
